American Collegiate Rowing Association Poll

This is the second coach's poll for the American Collegiate Rowing Association (ACRA). The ACRA has divided the country into six regions: North East, Mid-Atlantic, South, Great Lakes, Plains, and West. The weekly ACRA poll can have as many as, but not more than, 3 voters from each of the 6 regions for a total of 18 ballots.
This week's voters were: Peter Hanlon - United States Military Academy; Kurt E. Butler - University of Notre Dame; Tom Altenhofen - University of Minnesota; Tony Cronin - University of Massachusetts; John M. Bancheri - Grand Valley State University; Jeff Mork - University of Texas; Paul Bugenhagen - Bucknell University; Scott Menoch - Michigan State University; Paul Mokha - University of California-Los Angeles; Trish Brubaker - Lafayette; Cameron Carter - Washington University in St. Louis; Mike Homes - University of California-Santa Barbara; Jamie Stack - Rutgers University-Camden; Calvin Cupp - Wichita State University
In this weeks poll of the ACRA programs top honors in the Men's Varsity 8 now go to the University of Michigan. Also claiming first place votes are second ranked Virginia, #3 Purdue, and #6 Orange Coast College.
In the Women's Varsity 8 Purdue University takes the #1 ranking with Grand Valley State University garnering a first place vote and finishing second overall.
The University of California remains first in the Men's Lightweight 8 poll. The University of Delaware and Fordham University round out the Top 3 and also received first place votes. The top ranked Women's Lightweight 8 is the University of California.
The next regular season poll will be released on April 23, 2008.
